How freaking cool is it to be a writer for Medium?

This last week has reminded me why Medium is such an awesome place for writers.

I was astonished to reach 157 fans in a single day just a week ago today, which I wrote about here…

I was amazed to take a chance on my first ever political piece and be later curated in three different categories: Election 2020, Politics, and LGBTQ.

And I was initially sad, but ultimately happy, when my stats plummeted for no clear reason in the middle of the week, which I wrote about here…

What I’m left with is another spectacular week on Medium that gave me so much joy. Countless moments of joy. So many awesome opportunities to continue experimenting in my writing, offer more helpful writing posts, take my content in unexpected directions.

I think the one way writing on Medium can get stale if you just write about the same stuff day in and day out. If you don’t mix things up a bit. It’s why I like to post more than once a day. It’s why I like take chances at least once or twice a week.

If you post only once a day, and you take a chance on a new kind of article and it fails spectacularly… then that day is kind of shot.
