Prior to joining Findworka, I knew nothing about programming. I could not
even output a hello world lol. When i got to know the programming
languages(Javascript and PHP) we would be learning, i started doubting
myself immediately asking myself questions like “can i really do this?” as I had
the belief that programming is actually for “The Gurus”. Not withstanding
this, some people have made my transition into programming smoother than
I expected. Firstly i would like to mention Dele Bakare, the CEO of
Findworka. I remember my first meeting with him, i was nervous prior to the
meeting but it turned out to be a totally different experience. I think he
actually noticed the nervousness in me and he took time to encourage me. He
told me stories of how he started and things he has been through but the
main thing I was able to capture from the conversation was that “Everyone
starts somewhere” This actually motivated me and that moment i regained
self-confidence. Another person that has helped me since joining Findworka
is Tunde Yusuf, a backend developer in Findworka. Tunde gave me websites
websites helped me to have an understanding of what programming is really
all about .
I would like to say that everyone in the Findworka Academy has helped me
settle. We have a good working relationship in the academy from Seyi to
Nonso to Bukola, Davis and ever other person. but the person i would like to
sound out is Anani Oluseyi, avery good programmer but one thing i like
about Seyi as i will call him is his willingness to teach. He will take all his
time to make sure you understand.
Summarily, i can say that Findworka has been a nice experience.
